Things look different up close.....
Did you guess correctly? It's a dried raisin from a bag of trail mix. That explains the extra particles. This is an in studio shot. Nikon D300s, f32 @ 13 seconds.
Dried Banana.........
This is a Macro shot of a dried banana taken with a Nikon D300s, ISO 200, f32 for 13 seconds in the studio. Yum or Yuck?

Kids will be kids!....
When taking photos of kids, things don’t always go as planned. This is a picture of Jaisyn and his sister, Willow. I had one pose in mind but Jaisyn had a mind of his own. This was shot with a Nikon D300s with a 28-75mm lens (66mm), ISO 200, 60 @ f11
Macro Photography...
More images from my Macro Photography class. The granola bar was shot with a 55mm macro lens at f32 for 8 seconds. (1/1). The stone is a 1/3 image shot at f16 for 10 seconds. Both were shot with a Nikon D300s. The third shot is lighting set-up.

Looks like a ....
You guessed it! It's the stamen of a rose. This was my first attempt at a Macro shot. It presented some challenges but once I work the kinks out, I think I'm going to enjoy Macro Photography.
This was the lighting set up for the shot above. I used a Nikon D300S with a 55mm Macro Lens.

What is that?
This is a Macro shot of a pink grapefruit. It was shot with a 55mm Macro lens.
I shot this in my home studio with one light. The grapefruit is not pictured here because it was consumed shortly afterwards.
